Combloc boiler
Project overview
A herbal products manufacturer in Central Java aimed to convert process waste into a useful energy source and reduce waste disposal.
Thermax installed biomass-fired boilers capable of utilising herbal waste as fuel, replacing conventional practices of incineration. The solution enabled cost-effective steam generation while reducing waste and lowering the company’s carbon footprint.
Challenges
- A herbal products manufacturing company based out of central Java wanted to utilise its process waste for energy generation and was seeking an alternate biomass fired boiler.
Solution
- PT Thermax proposed and installed a 10 TPH Combloc boiler at two different locations operating on a pressure of 10.54 kg/cm2 that could burn the process herbal waste which was earlier being incinerated and thrown away.
Result
- The process waste helps the customer to generate steam at a minimum cost and also reduce the process wastage, achieving significant reduction in carbon footprint.
