Thermax‘s manufacturing teams from TBWES Shirwal and Savli both won the ‘Gold’ award in the Quality Circle Forum of India's (QCFI) Energy Conservation Competition. The event featured over 30 participating companies, each presenting a 15-minute case study followed by a Q&A session.

Thermax’s Heating and Chemical Businesses achieved Level-3 (Operational Level) in the ‘Total Cost Maturity Model’ under the Confederation of Indian Industry’s TCM (Total Cost Management) movement. CII TCM’s first-of-its-kind maturity model assesses business cost maturity on a five-level scale, focusing on cost-profit potential through effective cost economics, business strategy, functional ownership, support systems, and organisational alignment.

Anu Aga, the former Chairperson of Thermax, became the first woman to receive the prestigious Dr. K. S. Basu Lifetime Achievement Award since its inception in the last 70 years. Anu was honoured by the Bombay Management Association (BMA).
FIEO Export Excellence Awards
Thermax was recognised for its outstanding contributions to exports under two categories by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) – Western Region, at the Annual Export Excellence Awards ceremony held on March 25 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, celebrating excellence in global trade performance. The team was nominated under Three Star Export House (Non-MSME) Category.
CII – Andhra Pradesh Safety Excellence Award 2023 – Gold
Thermax’s Sri City facility was honoured with the prestigious Gold award at the third edition of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Andhra Pradesh Industrial Safety Excellence Awards 2023. Despite tough competition from over 500 organisations across different segments, we stood out for our firm commitment to safety.
CII National Energy Efficiency Circle Competition – Innovative Clean and Green Technology Solution Provider
Thermax secured the First Runner-Up position in the 7th CII–National Energy Efficiency Circle Competition under the ‘Innovative Clean & Green Technology & Solution Provider (Large Scale)’ category. The recognition was for deploying advanced adiabatic dry cooling towers in place of conventional wet cooling systems for a leading snack manufacturer, delivering annual water savings of approximately 51,000 kilolitres.
Projects and Energy Solutions won the Gold Award
At the 38th Convention of Quality Circle & Allied Concepts Competition organised by Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), which took place in Pune, Maharashtra, Thermax’s Projects and Energy Solutions team won the Gold Award for their case study titled ‘Improving Machine Run-Time and Saving Money’. It showcased how Thermax’s recommendation based on Kaizen technique led the customers to achieve a cumulative saving.

The TOESL (Thermax Onsite Energy Solutions Limited) team was recently awarded as the 'Best Safety Contractor' for FY 2023 by the food division of a leading Indian conglomerate in Maharashtra, on the occasion of National Safety Week. Thermax is now recognised as an ESCO Company
Adding another feather to its cap, Thermax has been recently empanelled as an Energy Saving Company (ESCO) by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). The accreditation was granted after a detailed assessment based on stringent criteria set up by BEE.
5S Platinum Certificate for Thermax Sri City Plant
Building on its earlier 5S Gold Certification from the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), the Sri City Plant demonstrated significant quality improvements across 300 audit parameters. Recognising this progress, QCFI awarded the plant the 5S Platinum Certification for 2022–23.
ET honours Thermax with the Factory of the Future Award
Thermax was recently conferred with the 'Factory of the Future' Award at The Economic Times Promising Plants 2022, held on 23rd August. An initiative by the Economic Times, supported by The Machinist and the ET Polymers magazines, the award recognises excellence in manufacturing.
Appreciation from GNAL
Thermax’s P&ES business received appreciation from GNAL, Dahej, a joint venture company of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) and National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) for its contribution in accomplishing 10 million safe man-hours. Thermax is the EPC partner for the customer’s 2 X 65 MW captive power plant in Dahej, Gujarat.
EPC Company of the Year
Thermax's Solar Business was recognised as ‘EPC Company of the Year in the Industrial Segment’ in Maharashtra State Annual Solar e-Awards Show organised recently by EQ Magazine. The award was bagged for the 1,266 kWp ground mount solar PV plant commissioned for a renowned edible oil manufacturer in Chandrapur, Maharashtra. The project was delivered within the project schedule despite the pandemic restrictions.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Anu Aga received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the reputed Delhi Management Association (DMA) at its Annual Conference for Women Entrepreneurs on 22nd April 2021. DMA is a professional body and a management think tank that has been organising various development programmes to nurture professionals and lead them towards achieving excellence. The award is a citation and was conferred on Anu for her contributions to business and in the social field.
Risk Management Award
Thermax won the Special Jury Citation Award for Logistics Risk Management at the 7th Edition of the India Risk Management Awards – in the Large-Cap Category. Thermax bagged the award for demonstrating exemplary execution capabilities for its largest export order from Dangote Oil Refinery Company.
National-level CII Awards
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised the National Maintenance Circle Competition on 18–19 March 2021, showcasing industry transformation through innovative maintenance practices. TBWES secured first place in Intelligent Maintenance Management for case studies on energy management, QR-based traceability and CMMS, and second place in Predictive and Preventive Maintenance for its IDEA concept integrating IoT, digitisation, engineering and automation. Kudos to the TBWES Savli team for this achievement.
