Travelling grate minimises excess air infiltration, enhancing combustion efficiency and fuel economy, while ensuring long-lasting, maintenance-free sealing through self-adjusting, rugged air seals.

Our travelling grate boilers feature a tall furnace for complete combustion and multi-level secondary air jets for enhanced mixing. The hydraulic / planetary gear drive with VFD offers precise speed control and high efficiency, even under heavy loads. A catenary and overlapping grate design prevents material leakage and air infiltration, while a continuous ash discharge system and over-fire air ensure complete, trouble-free operation.

Product features

Optimised combustion in tall furnace
Significantly increases flue gas residence time, ensuring complete fuel combustion before gases enter the superheater
Catenary & overlapping grate design for efficiency
Catenary curvature keeps grates closed without the aid of auxiliary weights, preventing material leakage into the drive, while an overlapping design minimises air leakage
Hydraulic/planetary grate drive with VFD benefits
Planetary gear drive with variable frequency drive (VFD) enables higher transmission efficiency and fine speed control (10:1 turndown) for heavy-duty loads
Precise grate speed control
Achieves highly precise grate speed variation, continuously adjustable within a range of
0-12 m / hr (0-45 ft /hr)
Multi-stage superheater with attemperation
Features a two or three-stage superheater with an inter-stage feedwater spray attemperator for precise steam temperature control
Multi-level secondary air injection
High-pressure, deep-penetration secondary air jets, strategically placed at multiple furnace levels, promote turbulence and thorough mixing for complete combustion of volatiles
Complete volatile combustion with over-fire air
Provides essential turbulence and thorough mixing of volatile gases, ensuring complete combustion
Automated continuous ash discharge
Reduces operator dependence and ensures consistent and efficient ash removal during operation
Online grate maintenance
Grate maintenance can be performed without requiring a boiler shutdown, ensuring continuous operation
