TBWES' reciprocating grate boilers are ideal for combustion of fuels having high moisture, low calorific value, and irregular or oversized particles

The reciprocating grate (pusher grate) combustion technology ensure efficient and complete combustion through continuous fuel agitation. The tumbling action enhances mixing, improves burnout, and accommodates variable fuel sizes and moisture content. Featuring flexible designs, multi-fuel firing capability, optimised furnace design, modular grate construction and precision airflow control, our boilers are highly suitable for high-moisture agricultural waste, non-recyclable solid waste and other industrial process waste

Product features

Multi-fuel compatibility
Supports a wide range of fuels for operational flexibility
Low-calorie, high-fouling, high-moisture & irregular waste compatibility
The furnace and convection zone are specifically designed to handle challenging fuels effectively
Reduced suspension burning
Mass burn technology minimises suspension burning and carry-over, ensuring more complete combustion
Flexible grate widths with scalable modular design
Modular grate construction enables larger section widths from 1.5 m to 3 m, with multiple sections assembled laterally to achieve greater overall widths
Versatile grate cooling options
Both air-cooled and water-cooled grate designs are available, tailored to specific fuel characteristics for optimal cooling
Optimised grate bar performance
Fully machined grate bars ensure proper clearances for thermal expansion, movement, and efficient airflow
Precision airflow control
Air plenum of each grate section is divided into multiple sections along the length, enabling independent control of airflow to each section as per combustion requirement
Variable grate speed control
Each grate section can be controlled individually with the help of VFD to ensure proper combustion of different variety of fuels ensuring complete fuel flexibility
Proven ram feeder design for handling bulky fuels
Hydraulically operated, water-cooled ram feeder ensures continuous waste input, even for bulky fuels, supported by a hydraulic ash extractor system, ensuring proper air sealing, thereby eliminating backfire
Corrosion & wear resistance
Special alloy castings provide superior resistance to corrosion and extend wear life
