Water softening is a widely used process for reducing hardness-causing cations such as calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg), which can otherwise precipitate and form scale even at low temperatures and pressures.
The system operates on a reversible ion exchange process, where hardness ions are exchanged with sodium ions present in the resin bed, ensuring consistent and efficient softening performance.
