The syngas can be used to manufacture chemicals like methanol, di-methyl ether, etc. Our technology utilises a wide variety of coal from high or low ash Indian coal to imported coal, thus offering flexibility, utilising coal with < 6mm size. Our gasification offerings have both atmospheric and pressurised fluidised bed with air and oxy-blown technology.

Thermax has successfully installed a pilot plant generating 6 TPD of methanol through coal-to-dimethyl ether conversion.
