Upgradation Technologies
VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption)
Our Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption (VPSA) system delivers high-efficiency biogas purification by selectively removing CO₂, N₂, O₂, and residual moisture from the gas stream. The system features advanced adsorption columns packed with molecular sieves, which operate in a cyclic sequence of pressure steps to ensure a continuous supply of high-purity, dry biomethane.
To boost process efficiency, the regeneration of the adsorbent material is supported by a vacuum system. Any residual methane released during regeneration is not wasted—it is smartly recycled back to the biogas inlet, enabling an impressive methane recovery rate of up to 97%.
The entire VPSA system is fully automated and operated through a PLC-based control system, ensuring reliable, consistent, and user-friendly operation with minimal manual intervention.
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)
PSA takes advantage of two distinct concepts: first, adsorption, which is the preferential physical attraction of certain molecules in the gas mixture onto the solid surface of a highly porous material and second, regeneration at low pressure, which is based on the lower adsorption capacity of that material at lower pressures. It works at high pressure for adsorption and slightly lower than atmospheric pressure for regeneration.
Our Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) system is designed to deliver outstanding performance in a compact footprint. It is at least three times smaller than conventional PSA systems of the same capacity, making it ideal for space-constrained installations.
With high recovery rates of up to 99%, the system significantly improves profitability by maximising usable output. Installation is quick and hassle-free due to our modular, skidded, and containerised design that ensures simple deployment at any site.
Membrane Scrubbing
This proven technology is built on the principle of selective permeation, where polymeric hollow fibre membranes efficiently separate methane from other components in biogas. When compressed biogas is fed into the system, faster-permeating gases such as CO₂, O₂, and water vapour pass through the membrane, while slower gases like CH₄ and N₂ are retained to produce high-purity biomethane.
Our membrane-based biogas purification system offers highly efficient methane recovery, achieving over 96% and reaching up to 99% purity in optimal conditions. With low power consumption, it ensures energy-efficient operation.
The membrane modules have a long service life of 5 to 7 years, contributing to lower maintenance costs and overall operational reliability. Due to its compact design, the system requires minimal installation space, making it ideal for both small- and large-scale setups.
